The 18th Annual Audubon Invitational was held February 23-26, 2012 at Audubon Country Club, in Naples, FL. The Grand Haven Croquet Club was represented by Joe Zilligen at this USCA sanctioned event.
The weather was perfect and the grounds were beautiful for this event. The Club had a sand castle created for this event

Joe placed fourth in a very competitive first flight. Not enough for a trophy, but his six wins netted him thirteen tracking points. |

Tournament Summary:
The Tournament was a singles event held over 4 days. Block play consisted of three flights (Championship, First and Second Flights) with eight players each leading to a double elimination ladder for all participants. All flights were played on half size courts at the Audubon Country Club. Jim & Mijai Pagano were scheduled to play in this tournament, but unforeseen circumstances caused them to drop out on the first day.

Several social activities were planned for the week; an opening party at the clubhouse, cocktail party, dinner dance at the clubhouse, and a Sunday Brunch at the club with beautiful trophies going to the top two players in each flight.
