USCA Seniors Master Championships - 2012

The 2012 USCA Seniors-Master Championships was held November 13-17, 2012 at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach, FL. Representing the Grand Haven Croquet Club were Jim & Mijai Pagano and Vincent & Antonia Marmo.

The tournament was played on eight well-groomed courts. It consisted of three flights singles in Masters, two flights singles in Seniors, and three flights in mixed doubles with 54 participants. The ranges for each flight were: Championship Flight handicaps 3.5 to -2, First Flight handicaps 7 to 4, and Second Flight 8 and higher.

Antonia Marmo played in the Second Flight Masters, and Vincent Marmo played in the First Flight Masters. Even though Vincent was already a 3 1/2, he could not play in the Championhip Flight because his new handicap was not official when the schedule was made. |
The four of them qualified to the play off in their flights only to find strong opponents that stopped their quest
It was a very nice tournament with several socials events.

Friday evening was the Hall of Fame Ball with the presence of many Association members honoring the Red Jackets. |
